Each Season offers different things to enjoy but there is always bird song, majestic trees, enjoyable walks along the tracks, a variety of wild life to view and always something to photograph or paint.
So, welcome to our Southern Highlands Rustic Rural Retreat nestled amongst stately eucalypt trees and surrounded by the tranquillity of Nature. Only 1.5 hours from Sydney or Canberra, and 30 minutes to the nearby boutique shops, historical towns, and numerous events of the Southern Highlands. Your comfortable, self-contained flat is the perfect place for a weekend or mid-week getaway in a secluded country setting.
Enjoy just relaxing, unwinding, walking and photographing the iconic country views of our 100 acre scenic property. On colder days, snuggle up inside by the slow combustion fire with a good book, (there’s a selection of books on the shelf) or have some fun with the variety of games, puzzles, Scrabble, Sudoku, or cards also on the shelf.
Sitting outside the front door, you could see a morning or afternoon parade of native animals and always hear the beautiful songs of our resident birds. You may even see a lyrebird or an echidna. Maybe take an early evening walk around the property to catch sight of a wombat or a kangaroo and joey, and on a later evening walk you may discover a glider possum, a ring-tail possum or species of owl. Or, you could simply sit by the outside fire-pit, toast marshmallows, and soak up the vast and brilliant night sky speckled with millions of stars.
The flat consists of one bedroom with a King-size bed which can be transformed into 2 Single beds (by pre-arrangement) and ensuite, comfortable lounge/dining area, with well equipped kitchen. It has a small electric stove with hotplate and oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, an Aldi Coffee maker machine, everything necessary for self-catering. There is a slow combustion fire, flat screen TV, BBQ facilities outside, and an outdoor fire pit (under construction).
All linen and towels are supplied and included in the tariff. Also included is firewood for the inside fire, and the two outside fires, (one opposite your flat, the other by the house fence nearby).
We cater for singles and couples as required, but the area is really not suitable for unsupervised children.
