Booking Terms and Conditions

Please read carefully.  When you make a reservation with us, these conditions are deemed to have been accepted by you. Please call us on 02 4878 9195 or 0429 349 647 and leave a clear message for clarification of any point.

• ​We ask for 50% of the tariff by direct deposit to secure your reservation, with the remainder of your tariff being payable 14 days before arrival. If your reservation is within 14 days of date requested, full tariff is required.
• ​Should you need to cancel your booking, for whatever reason, our fees are: 50% of the tariff if cancelled 30-15 days prior to arrival, and 100% of the tariff if cancelled within 14 days of arrival ONLY if the flat cannot be rebooked.  Where applicable, refunds, less $40 for flat administration fee, are refunded directly via direct deposit into the card holder’s account.

No commercial activity is to take place on the property.

Tents, caravans and other structures are not to be erected.

The responsible renter must be 21 years of age or over.  Guests under 21 are, of course, welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or responsible guardian. The area is definitely not suitable for young children because of the ravine close by.

The price of the booking is subject to change.  If there is a change in price you will be notified and offered the opportunity to pay the increased tariff or a full refund.

Unauthorised early check-in or late check-out will be charged at a minimum of $50 per hour.  We may be able to organise an earlier check-in time or a later check-out time but please discuss that with us when you book or before you arrive.

The interior and exterior of the flat are finished and furnished with a variety of materials and products, including surfaces, soft furnishings, goods, art, accessories, housewares, and an occasional herb garden.  Our team thoroughly inspects the flat and checks all its contents between each guest.  You become financially responsible for any and all damage and loss to the property and its contents from the date and time you check-in to the date and time you check-out.

To avoid erroneous blame, you are required to immediately notify our team if you feel anything is amiss when you arrive at the flat.  Prior to, or immediately upon, vacating the flat, you must inform our staff if there have been any incidents of loss or damage that have occurred during your occupancy.

The tariff is for the agreed number of guests detailed on our confirmation email/letter.  If there is a change or discrepancy, you will need to contact us immediately to make any changes and ensure that those changes are acceptable and confirmed.

By paying the deposit, the guest is reserving the flat for specific dates.  The dates cannot be changed. Doing so would effectively cancel the original reservation and cancellation terms will apply.  However, we may be able to transfer your booking to different dates or reduce the stay, at our discretion, if we can secure another guest to rebook the flat from the same dates.  There are no guarantees that this will be possible. A transfer fee of $40 plus a further deposit for the new booking will apply in this case.

Maylen Park rustic rural retreat accommodation does not offer refunds or reschedule bookings due to weather events, traffic delays, or natural disasters.  You are encouraged to take out travel insurance to cover such events.  No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, or unused days of your flat reservation.

Lost keys must be reported to our staff members and paid for immediately.  Lost keys are levied at a cost of $40 per key for key replacement.

No smoking at any time, especially inside the flat.  A $250 fee will be applied if the flat is found to have been smoked in.  This will be charged to your credit card.

The Flat, Firepit and BBQ areas must be left clean and tidy otherwise an additional cleaning fee of $100 will be charged to your credit card.

No responsibility will be taken for any children visiting the property.  Please supervise young children carefully always taking into consideration fencing, farm dams, the ravine, steps, verandah, fires, power points, and cleaning chemicals. No pets are permitted on the property.
